Pankaj Tripathi, who has just wrapped OMG alongside Akshay Kumar, has begun shooting for his next film, Sherdil, which will be directed by Srijit Mukherji. The versatile actor will play the lead in the film, which will also have some fine talents like Neeraj Kabi and Sayani Gupta.
The shoot of Sherdil was supposed to start in 2020 but was postponed because of COVID-19. Now, with the pandemic easing its havoc and people getting jabbed thick and fast, the filming has resumed with everyone on the sets supercharged. Talking about working with the director, Pankaj says Srijit is needs no introduction as his work speaks for itself. Pankaj adds that when Sherdil was offered to him, he jumped on the idea because he trusts Srijit to bring characters in the script to life convincingly, as that happens to be his USP.
Srijit is of an opinion that Pankaj is one of the finest actors which India has today, and when he is on the sets, half the battle is already won. The director adds that improvising and trying out new things is Pankaj’s forte, and he is indeed a director’s delight all way.
