Finally it’s been revealed that it’s Shahrukh Khan who will star in the Rakesh Sharma biopic.
Tentatively titled Saare Jahan Se Achha, the biopic has been written by acclaimed Bollywood scriptwriter Anjum Rajabali.
Earlier there were talks with Aamir Khan to do the film but due to his busy schedule, he passed on the script to Shahrukh who in turn, agreed to the film after a few meetings.
Saare Jahan Se Achha is a story of astronaut Rakesh Sharma, a pilot and the first Indian to travel in space in 1984 in a Russian space craft Soyuz T-11 in a joint mission between Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Soviet Space Agency.
