Yes, Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starer Sultan is travelling to the Chinese theatres

Till some years ago, south Indian regional films had a limited market in terms of audience reach as not many outsiders could understand the languages spoken in the Tamil, Telugu or any other south Indian films. Likewise for other language films be it Bengali or Assamese or Marathi. But today with the technology advancement and the dubbing of such films in Hindi, the makers have managed to spread the reach of the films wider.

But now the reach is not limited to within India alone or the Indians living abroad. There are other countries who are savoring what Bollywood and Indian Cinema has to offer.

The mega success of the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal in China almost earning Rs.1300 crore at the box office proved that China is a much bigger market for Indian Cinema as compared to other nations. Of the 8 Hinddi films that released in China since 2016, 6 of the films have garnered good response both from critics and the local audience. Not surprisingly, Dangal was the biggest winner with Akshay Kumar’s Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijan and Baahubali leading the pack. Surprisingly, two smaller films too enjoyed a slice of the pie – Hindi Medium and Secret Superstar.

With more producers vying to export their films to China and other countries, it is indeed a profitable business at the moment if the content is good.

Salman Khan is following his Bajrangi Bhaijan success in China with his earlier mega hit Sultan. Sultan will soon see its Chinese version releasing soon as its makers are gearing up for the release of the hit film in China on 31st August 2018.
