Sunidhi Chauhan and Shalmali Kholgade have enthralled us with their voice and memorable numbers for quite a while now. They have now given all their fans a reason to celebrate during these trying times. The duo has made it to the elite Times Square billboard in New York due to their latest track, Here Is Beautiful. They were the only Indian singers to be a part of Spotify’s Equal, a music program run globally, which appeals to the equity of female singers. Shalmali Kholgade, on her achievement, said that with so much pain and loss around, this is no time to celebrate, but for her, music was what she held on to, and this album was what she was occupied with during these tough times. She added that she had not even dreamt of having her face on the billboard in Times Square, and so this achievement was a notch above having her dream come true. Shalmali also said that she has only begun in the English music space and is excited for what lies ahead. Sunidhi Chauhan, on the other hand, said that all of us have been battling hard during these times, but the love for their song, Here Is Beautiful, fills her heart with hope. She further said that little did they knew that the bedroom project which they discussed and toyed with during the course of the lockdown, would have a life and journey of its own. Sunidhi added that may we all wake up to such pleasant surprises.
