Iconic Indian comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Nattu Kaka has passed away. Shri Ghanshyam Nayak’s passing away was shared by the show’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi on his Twitter account. The veteran actor wasn’t keeping well for the longest time and was advised medical treatment, due to which his appearance in the show was curtailed. In 2020, the actor had undergone surgery when eight knots were found in his neck. As per reports, it was somewhere around April this year that he discovered spots around his neck during one of the tests known as positron emission tomography. The 77-year-old actor re-started his chemotherapy after that, and during the treatment even went to Daman to shoot a special episode of the show. Nattu Kaka, as he was famously known, was a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Olltah Chashmah since its inception more than a decade back. Loved by all, Nattu Kaka was known to be Jethalal’s right-hand man. Shri Ghanshyam Nayak’s passing away will surely leave a vacuum as he was an integral part of the show, which has created history by airing non-stop for the last 13 years.
