Last year saw Jacqueline Fernandez making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Reports of her receiving several gifts from conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar began to circulate throughout the entertainment industry. There was also a letter released by Sukesh’s lawyer alleging that his client was in a relationship with Jacqueline, which is why so many expensive gifts worth crores were given to her.
In a letter sent to a leading media house, Sukesh confirmed that he was in a relationship with Jacqueline and that any kind of transaction that took place was about his personal life. None of the amounts in question was used to gift Jacqueline anything, and the actress has nothing to do with the case. He further added in the letter that all his friends from the Bollywood fraternity have been targeted, making him look bad in society and making him unable to do anything related to films in the future.
The conman who is imprisoned in Tihar Jail, Delhi, has also asked in his letter why Shivinder Singh’s wife Aditi wasn’t being probed in the case if she had paid an extortion sum to the tune of Rs. 200 crores. Sukesh has also gone on to mention that he isn’t a conman or a thug, and why aren’t the senior officials who were paid in crores not being questioned by the investigating agencies? Earlier, Jacqueline, in her statement, had said that she was a victim in the case, and Sukesh had introduced himself with a different name as a media baron from the South.
