Farhan shared the news on his social media stating that the situation in India is heart-breaking and Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures, in light of the severity of the present times, have turned their focus completely on the pandemic, and supporting employees, their families, and also helping the wider community. That is why they have decided to postpone the release of Toofan till the situation improves. The actor urged everyone to observe the essential COVID-appropriate behavior and also register to get vaccinated.
