Two madcap films Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se and Stree… and twice the load of fun…

Both Stree and Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se released in theatres today and going by the audience reaction, Stree seems to have hit a higher note with its combination of horror and comedy.

Stree stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead with the versatile Rajkumar Rao pair opposite her. The movie is about an angry ghost of a woman who stalks men during the nights of a festive period. Loosely based on a real story, the movie deals with the character of Shraddha who appears during this festive period only for Rajkumar’s character to fall in love with her. But when Shraddha disappears after four days, all suspicion points at her as being the female ghost Stree.

Stree delivers dollops of humour and horror equally leading the audience on a ghost ride while being eerie and funny at the same time. All the actors have done a tremendous job.

On the other hand Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se has sprinkles of laughter and its only for the evergreen Dharmendra with his charm that the film holds on to its own.

Sunny Deol plays the character of a ayurvedic practioner who serves the poor with his ‘magic’ potion. And Bobby as his younger brother. While Dharmendra plays their tenant. The story then moves forward when big pharma giants plot and plan to lay their hand on that elusive ‘magic’ potion.

Both the films are worth a watch this weekend. So go ahead and grab your tickets now from bookmyshow.com.
