It has been revealed already that a documentary on Salman Khan is in the making, and it will reunite several filmmakers, including the likes of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, after years with the superstar. As per the reports coming in, Alia Bhatt, who was supposed to work with Salman in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, will be one of the many anchors of the docu-series.
Apparently, this Bhansali project got shelved. The latest reports suggest that Alia has already shot a few portions of the documentary. She has got the opportunity to join famous personalities who have already given their nod to anchor this much-anticipated series on India’s one of the most consistent superstars. It will not come as a surprise if the entire Bollywood clan becomes a part of Beyond The Star: Salman Khan. The docu-series is all about showing to the world the life that Salman Khan leads beyond his stardom.
Significantly, the first season on Salman Khan may well be made a franchise going forward. There is a post-production work currently on for the series, and the makers are planning to release it in mid-2022. Apart from the family members of Salman, his friends for years such as Sooraj Barjatya, David Dhawan, Sajid Nadiadwala, Jackie Shroff, and Sanjay Dutt have already recorded their portions.
