Salman Khan and Ayush Sharma unveiled the much-awaited trailer of their film Antim on October 25. The trailer has indeed been liked by fans and critics alike, and now everyone is awaiting the film’s release. It has come to light that Zee Studios has been associated with the film as a distributor now.
It is well to be noted that Radhe and Antim were sold as a packaged deal, however, as the cinema halls have opened now, the deal has been re-negotiated as Salman Khan wanted to bring the film to the big screen. As per a source, after much deliberation, Zee has decided to release the film as a distributor across the globe on a commission basis. They are believed to be charging 8%-10% of the distributors share and leave the rest to Salman Khan Films- SKF. Besides, as per the previous deal, Zee is also associated with the project as a satellite, digital, and music partner.
It is projected that Zee will showcase the film four weeks after the big-screen release on Zee 5, and thereafter, it will be released on Zee Cinema 8 weeks down the line. Although there were discussions surrounding an outright sale, it was however, unanimously decided to go ahead with the revenue sharing model. Source adds that Salman is confident that the content of the film will get the audience back on the big screen and which is why he has gone ahead with a theatrical release after completing all the OTT formalities with Zee 5.
