A multi-crore cheque-bounce fraud case has been levelled against Ameesha Patel in Jharkhand High Court. The hearing took place for a petition filed in the case by one Ajay Kumar Singh who is the proprietor of Lovely World Entertainment. Upon listening to all involved in the case, the High Court has given 2 weeks to both the concerned parties to get their written responses ready. The litigant’s grievance is that the actress on the behalf of her company has taken money in the name of making a film. The incidence dates back to 2017 when the complainant met Ameesha Patel at an event in Harmu Housing Colony where he got an offer of investing in films. In the name of making a movie called Desi Magic, the complainant transferred Rs. 2.5 crores to Ameesha’s account. The movie never got made and subsequently the cheque that was given on behalf of the actress for the amount taken also bounced.
