The trio of Vicky Kaushal, Ronnie Screwvala, and Aditya Dhar is coming back again, after Uri: The Surgical Strike, this time for The Immortal Ashwatthama. It is a modern-day superhero movie based on King Ashwatthama in Mahabharata. The team has been prepping for almost two years in what is called one of the costliest Hindi films. Sara Ali Khan, who too is part of the film, has been preparing for the role and also learning new forms of action with Vicky Kaushal for the past few months. If all goes well, the film will go on floors from September this year and eyeing a wrap-up by January 2022. The makers had initially decided to shoot the film extensively across locations in Europe, but owing to the COVID-19 situation, it will be shot in the USA, Iceland, and India. The Immortal Ashwatthama is going to be heavy on post-production, and the makers will be replicating the international standards like what they did for URI. The film is expected to be release-ready by 2023.
