Shahid Kapoor signing a film with Ali Abbas Zafar was in the news a couple of months ago. The film would be based on a French thriller named Nuit Blanche, which means sleepless nights in English.
The filmmaker has already planned to mount the movie on a large scale with several adrenaline-pumping action sequences that will start being shot by the end of this year. The film is primarily based on a father-daughter relationship, and is all about one night where the father tries to save his kidnapped child from the underworld. Makers have been on the lookout for an actress opposite Shahid ever since they have announced the project.
As per reports, a couple of weeks ago, they had approached Bhumi Pednekar as well since they thought she could fit the bill as Shahid’s wife. Moreover, although the film is based on Shahid, yet Bhumi’s role would be very important for the course of the film. But we hear that the actress has declined the offer as she feels her role lacks that steam, and therefore it would not be apt for her to go ahead with it. Bhumi’s rejection of the role, throws light on how important content is in today’s era and the talented actress rejecting the project speaks volumes of the plans she has for herself.
