His show New Amsterdam premiered on 25th September on NBC and has the audience lapping up his role of Dr. Vijay Kapoor.
Anupam Kher who has featured in a number of Hollywood films like Silver Linings Playbook, The Big Sick is a known Indian face in the west.
New Amsterdam is a medical drama and he plays a neurologist who shows compassion towards his patients.
The show is based on the book ‘Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital’ written by Eric Manheimer.
So far there has been mixed reviews for the show.
