While informing about his divorce on Monday night, he described the marital journey as one of understanding, growth, adapting, and adjusting, and that they both stand at a crossroads where their paths diverge. He asked that everyone respect their decision and give them the privacy they needed to deal with the changes in their lives. Aishwaryaa shared the same note on her Instagram and wrote that no caption was needed and that the understanding of the fans and their love was necessary.
Aishwaryaa, who is the daughter of Rajinikanth, tied the knot with Dhanush in 2004 and the couple have two sons. While Dhanush is a superstar in the south and has a great fan following in the Hindi belt too, Aishwaryaa is known for directing romantic thrillers such as 3 and Vai Raja Vai, a dark comedy.
