After being questioned for her absence from political events, Chandigarh’s BJP President Arun Sood has revealed that the actor-turned-politician Kirron Kher is suffering from multiple myeloma, which is a form of blood cancer. Kirron has been a very active spokesperson for the party and her nonappearance for a few months did raise eyebrows of a section of the opposition. The Party President from Chandigarh spoke in detail about her medical condition during a press conference on March 31. Sood said that Kirron Kher had broken her left arm at her Chandigarh house in November last year, after which her medical tests were conducted at a hospital in the city, where she was diagnosed with the disease. He added that Kirron had to go to Mumbai for further treatment, and after four months, she has shown signs of recovery. Although she is no longer admitted to Kokilaben Hospital, she has to pay a visit there regularly for her treatment. Meanwhile, her husband Anupam Kher took to Twitter to confirm the news and said that she is being looked after by a phenomenal set of doctors and the fighter that Kirron is she will come out of it stronger than before.
