Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited and hyped movie, Thalaivi will simultaneously release on two OTT platforms after hitting the theatres. It will be the first Hindi movie to do so. Kangana is known to do things her way and always sets a benchmark for others to follow. As per the reports, although being a theatrical release, Thalaivi has been sold to Netflix and Amazon Prime for 55 crores. It will hit both these platforms four weeks after a theatrical showdown. This move has laid to rest the speculations of whether this film will also go ahead with an OTT exposure like other recently released movies. Talking about it, Kangana, in a statement, said that movies like Thalaivi and Manikarnika cannot just take an OTT route only because of the scale they get built on.
