Prithviraj Sukumaran, one of the biggest names in the Malayalam film industry, is also set to direct and act in a Hindi web series. The web series will revolve around the life of Biscuit King Rajan Pillai. The actor recently, in 2019, turned director with Mohanlal starrer Malayalam flick Lucifer, which went on to smash many records at the box office.
Yodlee Films, late Tuesday, officially announced the series with the pic of Prithviraj on the poster. Announcing the web series, the production house wrote that they believe in fearless content that inspires. They introduced the Hindi web series, which would be based on Rajan Pillai, and will have National Award winner Prithviraj in the lead role and directing it as well.
For the unversed, Rajan Pillai was the shareholder in Britannia Industries. Based out of Singapore in the mid-70s, Pillai managed positions in Nabisco, Huntley & Palmer, as well as Britannia. However, in 1993 he was investigated by Singapore’s commercial affairs department and was later jailed in India in 1995, where he subsequently passed away awaiting medical treatment. The series, as of now, is under pre-production and will commence shooting from mid-next year.
