Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, originally scheduled to hit the big screens on December 25, 2020, and then subsequently postponed for a year to December 24 this year due to lockdowns causing filming delays, has again been shifted. The film will now release on February 14, 2022. In a recently released official statement, Aamir Khan Productions, who is producing the film, along with Viacom 18 Studios, has said that they welcome the Government’s decision to reopen theatres October 22. However, due to the delays that they had to face because of the pandemic, their film, Laal Singh Chaddha, will not release this Christmas, and it will now be rescheduled for Valentine’s Day, 2022. The film, which is directed by Advait Chandan, is an adaptation of the 1994 American film, Forrest Gump, which was also adapted from a Winston Groom novel from 1986 called by the same name. Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Naga Chaitanya in an important role. One of the reasons for the delay caused to the film was the second wave of the pandemic, where the complete routine drifted apart.
