As theatres gear up to re-open on October 22, producers are busy scheduling the dates of their films. The announcement of dates has begun with Yash Raj Films, who has a series of flicks waiting to be released. An out-and-out family entertainer, Bunty Aur Babli 2 which has Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Sharvari, will release worldwide on November 19. Directed by Varun Sharma, who has worked on Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, YRF’s biggest blockbusters, will introduce Siddhant and Sharvari, who will take the reins from Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji, the first conmen pair from 2005 released Bunty Aur Babli. This time around, it will be Saif and Rani who will be introducing them as Bunty Aur Babli in the film. It will then be time for Prithviraj, which will be YRF’s first historical to hit the screens. The film starring Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan and debutante Manushi Chhillar will release worldwide on January 21 next year. Manushi will play Prithviraj’s beloved princess, Sanyogita. Helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, this magnum opus will star Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles as well. And finally, after a long wait, it will be time for Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar, a comic entertainer set in Gujarat, to release worldwide on February 25. The film will be about how an unlikely hero champions the cause of women’s empowerment in the most entertaining way. Ranveer will be paired with Shalini Pandey, who will be making her debut on the big screen. Apart from this Shamshera, an action spectacle, which will have Ranbir Kapoor in a never-seen-before avatar, will release worldwide on March, 18. Vaani Kapoor will play the female lead in this movie directed by Karan Malhotra.
