Jathi Ratnalu, the Navin Polishetty starrer Telugu comedy film which has gone on to break many records and become a blockbuster with more than 80 crores on worldwide figures, will soon be getting its sequel. Jathi Ratnalu 2 will start its production sometime early in 2022, and the date will be made official once the pandemic situation turns better. As per the sources, there won’t be any major change in the cast of the sequel, but the one change that Naveen can expect is his remuneration. The actor had been signed for Rs. 60 lacs for Jathi Ratnalu but for the sequel, he will be paid Rs. 3 crores. On the film’s success, Naveen had earlier said that they knew that once the movie releases in theatres, the audience will laugh their heads off, and that’s why the producers did not opt for an OTT release. They were aware that they had success in hand, but how big a success, they couldn’t have guessed.
