Robert Downey Jr. has given nod to his first project since finishing off with Tony Stark’s aka Iron Man’s role in The Avengers series. The actor now will co-star in an HBO Drama series which will be an adaptation of The Sympathiser, a Pulitzer-winning novel. Park Chan-wook will not only bankroll it along with Don Mckellar but will also direct the entire series. The novel which the series is based upon is an espionage thriller and talks of a half French and half Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnamese war. There is still a search going on worldwide for the lead role for the series and also the rest of the cast, which will be predominantly a Vietnamese ensemble.
