One of the most prolific actresses of her time, Jaya Bachchan will be seen making a comeback in a Marathi film directed by Gajendra Ahire. This is the first time Jaya will be seen in a Marathi movie. Her last outing was Late Rituparno Ghosh’s Sunglass in 2012 opposite Naseeruddin Shah with whom she shared the screen space for the first time. However, the film never got released. Since her marriage to Amitabh Bachchan in 1973, she has seldom been seen consistently in movies, although exceptions like Sholay, Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham & Kal Ho Naa Ho have always happened. This time around, she will be working with the seasoned Gajendra Ahire who has already directed more than 50 Marathi movies, some of them being critical and commercial successes. Jaya Bachchan will start her shoot in March and the movie is expected to wind up in 20 days.
