Although the recently released Tadap, starring Ahaan Shetty and Tara Sutaria, may have bombed at the box office, the latter’s performance in the movie has grabbed a lot of eyeballs. She is undoubtedly, slowly but surely, making her presence count in the industry.
Basking in the appreciation, the actress, who made her debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2, has signed her first female-led thriller drama, which will be bankrolled by none other than Kabir Singh’s producer, Murad Khetani. The story of the yet-to-be-titled project revolves around a young girl’s survival and will be helmed by Nikhil Bhat. This first solo lead film will be more along the lines of NH10 and will allow Sutaria to showcase her acting prowess. The actress is excited about taking up the challenge and will begin its shoot either in February or March. The makers are eyeing a 2022 release date.
Tara, meanwhile, will next be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti 2 alongside Tiger Shroff, which will have a theatrical release on April 29. She will also be seen in Mohit Suri’s “Ek Villain Returns” with John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor.
