One of the most gifted filmmakers of the present times, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is currently working on his coveted project, Heeramandi, which is under the pre-production stage. Several big names have popped up in the past to play the lead role, including that of Manish Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, and Nimrat Kaur. And now there is one more name that has made the headlines, and that is Juhi Chawla; the veteran actress who has had a great screen presence in the projects she has been a part of. As per a report by a tabloid, the actress will be joining hands for the first time with Bhansali. It is being said that Juhi will play a pivotal role in the series. As per a source who is very close to the project, the series is expected to have somewhere around 18 female actors that will include the likes of Sonakshi Sinha, Nimrat Kaur, Manisha Koirala, Diana Penty, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Juhi Chawla will be seen playing an important cameo in the eight-episode series. She recently had a meeting with the ace director and immediately gave her nod for the project. The actress will be soon starting her schedule. Earlier it was reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali will only be the guiding light to the web series, but now the sources confirm that he will direct its opening and final episode. The rest will be taken care of by Vibhu Puri and Mitakshara Kumar. There have been certain changes done by Bhansali in the storyline. The show will stress the clash between two gharanas of classical music and will be based on travel from Lahore to Mumbai.
