Prithviraj, the upcoming film starring Akshay Kumar and debutante Manushi Chhillar has received a threat from Karni Sena. The movie is a period drama produced by Yashraj Films and is helmed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The President of the Youth Wing of Karni Sena, Surjeet Singh Rathore has put forth three conditions for the film and warned Aditya Chopra that if the demands are not complied with, the production house will have to face the same consequences that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to face for Padmaavat. Rathore spoke to a daily and thereafter shared the news clippings on his Instagram handle. He said that while the organization respects Akshay Kumar, YRF’s Aditya Chopra should respect the last Hindu Samrat too. The three conditions that have been laid down by the Karni Sena are screening of the film before its release, the film to be shown to the Rajput society, and the film’s title to be Veer Yoddha Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan and not just Prithviraj. The film which was supposed to release last Diwali had to be postponed due to the pandemic. The makers have now decided to release it on November 5, 2021.
