Nomadland Makes It BIG At BAFTA 2021

The British Academy for Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) awards were presented in London’s Albert Hall over the weekend. Hollywood drama Nomdland went on to become the biggest winner of all.

Adarsh Gourav, who was nominated in the Best Actor category for his performance in The White Tiger lost to the legendary Anthony Hopkins, who bagged the award for his performance in The Father. It did come as a surprise as many thought Late Chadwick Boseman would have been more befitting for his stellar performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

The White Tiger’s writer-director, Ramin Bahrani was in contention in the Best Adapted Screenplay category, however, he could not make it to the podium as Florian Zellar & Christopher Hampton received the honours for The Father. Here is a list of all the winners of the coveted award-
