Oscars 2022: Who All Can Make The Cut- Part 2

Continuing with our expedition of which movie might feature into the nomination list of Oscars 2022, here is a list of another 10 projects that might make it to the big stage.

A Hero stars Amir Jadidi and Mohsen Tanabandeh and is helmed by Asghar Farhadi, who seems to find drama in the most surprising spaces. A Hero is a fine film about Honesty, the Price of Freedom, and Honor. The film portrays prison as an open door cage that has our working-class hero choosing his fate.

House of Gucci is a film that revolves around high drama and opera. Starring Lady Gaga, Jared Leto, Adam Driver, Salma Hayek & Al Pacino, this movie is a saga of love, betrayal, and murder and involves some snappy exchange between characters.

In The Heights is another movie to watch out for. It presents Anthony Ramos, Corey Hawkins, Leslie Grace and is about the abundance of love for its characters and the pride with which they defend their cultural spirit against the encroaching New York elevation that shoves the marginalized further into margins.

King Richard is a film where a man is motivated by his disappointments as much as he is in love with his children. The movie has Will Smith, Aunjanue Ellis in the lead role and gives out sharp characterizations and performances. This film is most striking when it plays against expectations.

The Last Duel starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jodie Comer, and Adam Driver is a woman’s story and her victory, although bitterly fought and fires on all cylinders with exceptional performances from the lead cast playing their characters seamlessly well.

Licorice Pizza which has Alana Haim, Sean Penn, and Cooper Hoffman in the lead is about Gary Valentine ( Cooper Hoffman’s character) and his impulsive entrepreneurial instincts and Alana’s navigation of the world.

The Lost Daughter is a cinematic psychological drama and has an impeccably chosen cast of Olivia Colman, Jessie Buckley, Ed Harris, and Dakota Johnson. It is an adaptation of a novel by Elena Ferrante and makes for a striking directorial debut of Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Nightmare Alley starring Bradley Cooper and Cate Blanchett is set at the tail end of the great depression and more than a few rain-drenched streets is a tribute to Noir but also has its dark snow globe.

No Time To Die, a movie that bids farewell to its Bond- Daniel Craig, handles the action with assurance and certainly allows the actor to dig deep on the rewarding character work that he is been doing since the time he stepped into bond’s shoes.

Parallel Mothers is a test of maternal instinct and talks about the complicated comforts of relationship that exists between women. The film has Penélope Cruz, Israel Elejalde, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Milena Smit, and Rossy de Palma playing key roles.

Stay glued for the final list of 10 movies next week which may make their existence memorable.
