The Welcome franchise from Firoz Nadiadwala, is known for its rib-tickling comedy, with Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal bringing out the humor in its best form. Apparently, both Nana and Anil go back a long way. Who can ever forget their stellar performance in Parinda, which won them critical acclaim and commercial success?
They were back again in Welcome in 2007, and this time the fabric was completely different from what they had been a part of. The first part was a laugh riot with Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif playing their humorous best besides Nana & Anil Kapoor. The second part had John Abraham & Shruti Hassan replacing Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif and also had Naseeruddin Shah, Shiney Ahuja, and Dimple Kapadia.
As per a source close to the project, the script of the third Welcome film is already being written, and it is expected that it will go on the floors from the second half of the next year. Although Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, and Anil Kapoor are confirmed for the project, the makers are looking to rope in a bigger ensemble as the movie is planned on a massive scale.
