War films and J.P. Dutta go hand in hand. Having given mega blockbuster war movies like Border, Refugee, LOC: Kargil, director J. P. Dutta now wielded the baton for another war film, ‘Paltan’ based on the Indo-Sino war of 1962.
The film boasts an ensemble star casts that include Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Luv Sinha, Siddhant Kapoor, Esha Gupta and others. Produced by J.P. Films and presented by Zee, the writers had to spend a little above a year to get all the facts right before they penned the script.
J. P. Dutta also interacted with the real war heroes who had fought in the war in 1962 to get a detailed account of the war including inputs from them to get the locations right for the shoot
