Actress Rakul Preet had to appear before the Enforcement Directorate at Hyderabad yesterday. It was about a 2017 drug case. Although Rakul Preet was summoned to appear on September 6 but due to her busy work schedule, she had asked permission to prepone the questioning. The actress has already been questioned by the Narcotics Bureau last year in a drugs probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death. As per on of the ED officials, somwhere around 12 cases had been booked by Telangana Excise and Prohibition department, and there were 11 charge sheets filed in 2017. The officials have been questioning film personalities about their financial transactions if at all, there are any with the people involved in the drug case. Puri Jagannad and Charmme have already been questioned about their links with Calvin Mascarenhas, who is the key accused in the case. The drugs racket was busted in July 2017, when Calvin a musician by profession, and two others were caught with drugs worth Rs. 30 lacs from their possession. When questioned, they had then revealed to the investigators of supplying drugs to film celebrities, software engineers, and even students of corporate schools. Not only that, numbers of some Tollywood celebrities were too found in their mobile phone contact list.
