After Bachchan Pandey, Akshay Kumar will soon begin the shoot of his next, Ram Setu. He will fly to Ayodhya along with the director Abhishek Sharma and creative producer, Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi on March 18 to give the mahurat shot for the film. Akshay currently is on a family vacation in the Maldives and will soon begin the shooting of Ram Setu which will be divided into multiple schedules. Most of the shoot will take place in Mumbai. The director of the movie, Abhishek Sharma reveals that Akshay Kumar will play the role of an archaeologist in the movie and his look is inspired by many Indian and International professionals from the said field. He also adds that Jacqueline and Nushrratt portray the characters of strong & independent ladies and the makers have deliberately chosen to have their looks under wraps, at least for now. As far as the choice of mahurat location is concerned, it was Chadraprakash Dwivedi’s idea to embark upon the journey of the film at the birthplace of Prabhu Shri Ram. Sharma shares that he worked on the screenplay of the movie during the lockdown last year and Akshay came on board immediately as soon as he heard the first narration. As far as the research on the subject is concerned, Sharma mentions that Chandraprakash Dwivedi was a great help in not only providing access to history and religion, but also building a team of researchers having a strong base in archaeology.
