The big announcement of Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor making her debut in a Dharma Production movie was made earlier this week. It is now confirmed that she will be playing the lead opposite Dharma Cornerstone Agency talents Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya Lalwani. The movie will go on floors sometime mid this year and is expected to be a rom-com with an urbane love-triangle. It was earlier speculated that Shanaya will be making her debut with Student Of The Year 3, just like her best friend Ananya Panday who stepped into Bollywood with SOTY’s 2nd edition. But with SOTY 3 being planned as a digital-only film for Netflix, both Karan and Maheep were inclined to Shanaya having a debut with a theatrical release. It is unclear if Shanaya is going to be a part of SOTY 3, but it will definitely not be her debut movie.
