It was reported early this year that Shahid Kapoor would no longer be a part of Shashank Khaitaan’s Yoddha, as the actor had backed out of the project post wrapping up Jersey. That said, it is now confirmed by Shashank Khaitaan himself that the movie is very much on the cards and will star none other than Shahid Kapoor in the lead when the normalcy returns. Shashank, who is known for movies like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Dhadak, wants to venture into an out-and-out action flick with Yoddha. The movie is expected to be a high-scale project with shoots planned across the globe. However, with the current situation, the task looks impossible, and which is why Khaitaan has put it on hold. It is said that the makers will take new dates from Shahid Kapoor as and when the condition improves and subsequently start working on the film. Shahid is currently busy in Goa shooting for his web debut with Raj & Krishna DK. Shashank, too, is absorbed with the shoot for the formerly called Mr. Lele, a comedy starring Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar.
