Sita: The Incarnation

It will be Kangana Ranaut and not Kareena Kapoor Khan, who will play the role of Goddess Sita in the film titled Sita: The Incarnation. Directed by Alaukik Desai, Sita: The Incarnation was initially offered to Kareena, who had sought a sum of Rs. 12 crores for the film, which the actress neither clarified about doing so nor denied. In an interview, she, however, responded to the question in a very vague statement which said that a few years ago, no one would talk about a man or woman getting equal pay, at least now, there are people vocal about it. Coming back to Sita: The Incarnation, Kangana took to her Instagram stories and thanked the director for having given her the opportunity. The director, Alaukik Desai, tweeted that what was a mirage has now become clear, and he is excited to bring Kangana Ranaut on board to play Sita. He added that this pious journey will change the way we perceive our mythology and thanked the production house SS Studio for the immense support and belief. Kangana, who was latest seen in Thalaivi, has a few action projects lined up like Dhaakad and Tejas. Kareena, on the other hand, is shooting for Laal Singh Chadha, a remake of the 1994-release Forrest Gump, scheduled for a December release.
