Shilpa Shetty Moves Bombay High Court And Seeks Damage Worth Rs. 25 Crores For Defamatory Media Reports

Shilpa Shetty Kundra has moved Bombay High Court seeking an injunction against defamatory content that is run on various websites and news channels concerning her which is false and has lead to damaging her and her family’s reputation. She has demanded an unconditional apology from select media houses, asked to delete defamatory content, and sought damages worth Rs. 25 crores. The actress, in her application to the court, has said that she is being painted as a woman who has abandoned her husband in these trying times and has also been portrayed as a criminal. She added that these reports have maligned her reputation in society and caused irreparable damage to her image. The defamatory articles and videos that have published have cost her business and professional loss. As per the actress, her reputation is important for her right to life under Article 21 of The Constitution of India. Shilpa has chosen to be silent in the entire mess. Sources close to the actress say that Shilpa is concerned about her nine-year-old son and daughter, who is hardly one. There have been rumors of her arrest which have gathered momentum, and her worries have grown with time. One of the producer-director close to Shilpa and her family says that she is a strong lady with strong family values. She has been taken aback with something like this. Now that she is bracing for the worst scenario, she understandably is worried about her two children. Although she hasn’t got any support from her fraternity, her mother, Sunanda, and sister Shamita have throughout been on her side.
