Renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya whose last directorial Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was among the highest grosser of 2015, is currently working on three movies. He has already roped in Amitabh Bachchan and Boman Irani for a film on friendship of two senior citizens. This movie was supposed to go on floors from February this year, but according to the latest reports, it shall begin its shoot from September now. It will be released in 2022 post which Barjatya will start his next project with Salman Khan. The storyline of this movie will be about a mature married couple set against a backdrop of nuclear families. The script for the movie has not been finalized yet. Additionally, Sooraj Barjatya’s son Avnish Barjatya also marks his directorial debut in 2021 with a young destination wedding themed flick, the casting for which is currently on.
