The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards hosted by Cedric The Entertainer at L.A. Live Entertainment complex were dominated by The Crown, Ted Lasso, and Mare of Easttown. The three took with them 10 out of the 12 acting awards from the event. The Awards night was aired live on CBS and Paramount+. Netflix’s, The Crown bagged the most honors with 7 awards, including the best drama series. It also won awards for the best actress and actor, supporting actress and actor, writing and directing. Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso took four awards, including outstanding comedy and HBO’s Mare of Easttown, and HBO Max’s Hacks won three awards apiece. While Kate Winslet won the lead actress in a limited series, Jason Sudeikis bagged his award for outstanding lead actor in a comedy.
