It’s not even been a couple of days that Rahul Dholakia made headlines of getting replaced by Srijit Mukherjee as the Director of Shabaash Mithu. It was being told that Rahul’s dates had gone haywire due to the pandemic, and he had to give way to Srijit due to this. However, this wasn’t the first time that Rahul had chosen to walk out of this project. The movie has been in the making since 2019. As per the source close to the project, Rahul was keen on directing the movie, but there were a few creative differences that cropped up between him and Taapsee Pannu, which led to the former opt-out the first time. However, Viacom 18 stepped in and convinced Dholakia to rejoin, which he did. That said, this time the differences have arisen between Dholakia and the production team at Viacom, and he has again walked out of it. With restrictions being lifted, Viacom is looking out to begin the shoot of the film and wrap it up quickly. They have decided not to cajole Rahul Dholakia further and have replaced him with Srijit Mukherjee.
