Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi is one movie that has borne the brunt of the pandemic like none other. With Rohit Shetty at the helm, the film is surely going to be nothing short of an out-and-out entertainer. But to be honest, there is always a limit to drag a project’s release. Sooryavanshi has already gone through a lot, and it’s time the producers take a stern call to either put it in an OTT format or go ahead with the theatrical release as soon as the pan-India restrictions get lifted. Now, as per the reports coming in, the movie might as well see an Independence Day release, that if the theatres open. Also, Bellbottom, another Akshay Kumar starrer, may see a simultaneous release on the OTT platform. Akshay has, however, come out with a statement clearing the air around the release of both his movies. He said that he is humbled to see the excitement and eagerness of his fans regarding the release of both films, but it will be purely speculative at this juncture to say that both will hit the screens on Independence Day. He added that the producers of both the movies are working out the release dates and shall make an announcement as soon as something concrete comes up.
