Release announcements of the much-awaited movies have been flowing in since the time there has been a confirmation on theaters in Maharashtra re-opening on October 22. As far as big production houses are concerned, they have started to block the lucrative dates for their projects. Joining them is Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment which had announced on Sunday that they shall be releasing Heropanti 2, starring Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria, on May 6, 2022. However, they have advanced the release of the film to April 29, 2022, which will now be coinciding with Eid. In a tweet concerning the release of the movie, Tiger Shroff announced that the date is being preponed to Eid now. With this change in the dates, Heropanti will now clash with Ajay Devgn’s MayDay, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. In yet another clash of films, the much-awaited, Ranveer Singh’s 83, a biopic on the 1983 Cricket World Cup, has locked Christmas 2021 as its release date. It will now be locking horns with superstar Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, whose director Sukumar is currently filming the final parts in Hyderabad of this highly anticipated flick. Both the movies have big stars and robust storylines, and only time will tell how either of them competes at the box office.
