The TIME Magazine has revealed the TIME 100 list of most influential people for the year. It is Britney Spears, Kate Winslet, and Scarlett Johansson who have made their way to the list. This annual list consists of people who have changed the world in some way. Apart from the two actresses and a singer, the list also comprises Daniel Kaluuya from Judas and the Black Messiah, Chloe Zhao, the Oscar-winning director, and Minari’s Steven Yeun. Actress Scarlett Johansson’s admission in the list is said to be the result of her ongoing lawsuit against Disney, whose subsidiary Marvel Studios has had her play the role of the Black Widow since 2008. As per Jamie Lee Curtis, the reason why Scarlett has been included in the list can be attributed to her on-screen revenge on a powerful figure who manipulates women, much like what has happened in her real-life too where she has fought back against the studio by filing a breach of contract lawsuit. As far as singer Britney Spears is concerned, she has been entangled in a legal battle since 2008 as her father Jamie Spears, has been given control over her finances and life. Although, recently, amid the legal battle, Jamie Spears has decided to step down from conservatorship. On her inclusion in the list, Paris Hilton writes that even though the darkness has surrounded Britney’s life, she embodies joy and shares the light of her beautiful heart.
