Abhay Deol has announced that he will be seen in the Disney movie, Spin which will be an English language coming-of-age teen drama. The film will be available for the US audience only on the Disney channel from August 13. According to the actor, Spin will be a departure from his status quo. Speaking on the movie, Abhay said that most of his audience loves him for making edgy and alternative narratives that challenge the status quo. Which is the reason this film is all the more special as it is a shift from the normal and caters to a much younger audience. The actor adds that Spin is a gem of a flick that will leave the audience smiling and make them feel good, and he is blessed to be a part of it. The movie is about a girl called Rhea, an Indian-American teen who discovers her passion for DJ mixes which is a blend of South Asian culture and the world around her. Her life changes from the after-school coding club and family’s Indian restaurant when she falls for an aspiring DJ and discovers her natural gift of creating beats and producing music.
