On the eve of the 73rd Republic Day of the country, the Government of India revealed the names of the people bestowed with the coveted Padma awards, i.e., Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. Olympic Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra, Olympians Vandana Kataria and Pramod Bhagat, actor Victor Banerjee, singer Sonu Nigam, and director Chandraprakash Dwivedi are among those on this year’s Padma Shri list.
Akshay Kumar, who has always been vocal about achievers on the national platform, took to his Twitter handle and wrote a congratulatory message for all and gave a special mention to his Prithviraj movie director, Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who is also featured on the Padma Shri list. His tweet read that it was heartwarming to see some great names from the armed forces, sports, industry, science, art, and, of course, his director friend, Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
His special mention of his director was a great gesture indeed, which touched many hearts. On the work front, Akshay awaits the release of Bachchan Pandey on March 18. He also has Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu, OMG-2, Selfie, and Gorkha in the pipeline.
