Top Bollywood celebrities are now on a roll, with many projects in the pipeline. Actors like Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are at the top of Duff & Phelps’ celebrity valuation list thanks to their growing fan base and many films. The biggest star of all, Shah Rukh Khan, failed to enter the top ten, while Salman Khan remained in eighth place. The company, which is based in the United States, released the seventh version of its Celebrity Brand Valuation Study, titled “Digital Acceleration 2.0,” for the year 2021. According to the Duff & Phelps research, cricketer Virat Kohli tops the list with $185.7 million in equity in India. Ranveer Singh is the highest-valued Bollywood actor, with a net worth of $158.3 million, while Alia Bhatt is the highest-valued actress, with a net worth of $68.1 million. Akshay Kumar, MS Dhoni, Salman Khan, and others are among those on the list. While renowned Bollywood celebrities continue to figure in the list of top 20 celebrity brands, this year saw some notable changes as well, said Aviral Jain, Managing Director, Duff & Phelps. As per him, Alia Bhat, Ranveer Singh, and MS Dhoni all saw a significant increase in their brand values in 2021, and they appear to have struck the right notes with the audience. More athletes, such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, and PV Sindhu, have risen to the top of the celebrity rankings because there were fewer theatrical releases in 2021, resulting in much less competition from Bollywood celebrities.
