The issue between the makers of Sooryvanshi and multiplexes as well as single screens has come to an end right on the eve of the release of the film. The producers had demanded a 60% revenue share in the first week of the film’s release and had also specifically told the theatre owners to run the maximum number of shows of Sooryavanshi. Apart from this theatre with two or a single screen had been asked not to play Eternals, a Hollywood major which releases on the same day as this Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer. Although all these issues were expected to be sorted in the first half of this week, however, the stalemate continued, and parties could not meet an amicable resolution. The day before the release too saw multiple meetings being held, but it looked like the issue would not get resolved. Moviegoers looking to watch the movie during the festive season were disappointed as well since online bookings for most of the theatres had not begun. That said, at 10.30 in the night, Rohit Shetty took to his Instagram announcing that a resolution had been reached. He confirmed being busy since morning to reach a consensus and had not even eaten the entire day. Rohit went on to add that the movie will release across all the multiplexes as well as single screens across the country and the audience who have been eagerly awaiting to book the tickets can go ahead with it now. The refreshed terms of the agreement are not out yet.
