Sooraj Barjatya, who is known to be one of the most accomplished filmmakers of Indian cinema, has given masterpieces that have been family entertainers for years. Having said that, with his new venture called Uunchai, he will be exploring yet another territory, and that’s going to be friendship. It will be the first time that Amitabh Bachchan will be collaborating with the ace producer-director. Along with the legend, the star cast includes the likes of Danny Denzongpa, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Sarika, Neena Gupta, and Parineeti Chopra. As Uunchai is currently being shot in Nepal, some exciting details are emerging from the film. Parineeti will be seen playing the role of a Nepali tourist guide, who will be helping the quartet of Amitabh, Danny, Kher, and Irani on their adventurous expedition. Parineeti’s role is going to be a standout as she will be seen in a different avatar altogether. According to Suraj Acharya, who is heading the project in Nepal, the film has already gone on floors from October 4. He also revealed that between 04th to 09th October, the team has shot at the world’s most dangerous airport at Lukla which is right beside the Everest Base Camp. Apart from Amitabh and Danny, all other actors have shot their part at Lukla. Post this, there is another schedule at Namche located at an altitude of 13000 feet above sea level, after which the cast and crew will move to Manang at 11000 feet. As per a source, there are around 500 people which includes cast & crew following all COVID safety norms. As a matter of fact, all the four lead actors are aged between the 60s-70s and which is why safety is of utmost importance on the sets.
