Maharashtra is one of the biggest markets for cinema as its contribution hovers around 25% of the total Hindi box office revenue. No wonder, the announcement of theatres opening on the 22nd of this month has been welcomed with applause from all around. Filmmakers, who have been waiting patiently with their completed films, have excitedly queued up to get prominent dates to showcase their work in front of the theatre audience. Although an OTT release has been an alternative for them, a theatrical experience always goes a long way in giving out that immersive experience, which both the filmmakers and audiences deserve. With completed projects, big and small ready to be showcased, 2022 is indeed going to be an exciting and busy year for producers, distributors, actors, and all the fans.
