Final Leg of Maidaan With Ajay Devgn

After repeated delays, Ajay Devgn and director Amit R Sharma will be back for the next schedule of Maidaan from October.  This time around, the stretch of the schedule is going to be for 25 days of this biographical drama based on Syed Abdul Rahim, who was the coach and manager of the Indian football team. Before starting the schedule of the film, the makers will have to build a makeshift stadium in Madh Island again as it was destroyed completely during cyclone Tauktae in May this year. The reconstruction of the set will commence in the mid of September, and subsequently, the shoot will begin on October 25 and continue till December first week. The climax of the film will also be shot during this schedule, where the makers will recreate the 1962 Asian Games final match, which happened in Jakarta and where India bagged the gold medal. Amit has already finished a week-long schedule last month in the absence of Devgn, where portions of the Helsinki Olympics games were shot where India was humiliated by Yogoslavia in the preliminary round. We only hope that this time around there are no delays and the film sticks to its release date which happens to be in this year.
