It was initially reported that Shraddha Kapoor would be teaming up with Kartik Aaryan for the first time in Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming project to be helmed by Sameer Vidwans. However, it is now learned that it will be Kiara Advani and not Shraddha Kapoor who would be playing the lead in the movie. It will be Kiara’s second venture with Kartik after Bhool Bhulaiyya 2. It is said that Sajid Nadiadwala was keen on casting Shraddha opposite Kartik as it would have been a fresh pair, however, he was taken aback when the actress quoted a whopping Rs. 10 crores for the project. Although Sajid is not known to negotiate with his actors, he was surprised by Shraddha’s fee as she had taken only Rs. 4 crores for Baaghi 3. The producer knew the financials would go haywire after he was made aware of Shraddha’s quote. That said, he still went ahead with the final offer of Rs. 7.5 crores, which the actress and her team refused and that’s when Sajid made up his mind to bring on board Kiara Advani. The actress, who is riding high on the recent success of Shershaah, has been signed for Rs. 3.5 crores. Nadiadwala has signed Kiara for a premium amount as her fee hovers between Rs. 2-2.5 crores, but the producer is happy with it. This project was initially titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha, but now a new title is being zeroed upon.
